The 2025 BEG Annual Conference will take place in Rhodes, Greece.
Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands of Greece and the ninth largest island in the Mediterranean. The Medieval Old Town of Rhodes is a World Heritage Site which housed one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Colossus of Rhodes, until it was destroyed in 653.
The conference will take place on Sunday 25th to Monday morning 26th May 2025 and will once again be sponsored by AlixPartners for which the Bar European Group is very grateful.
The conference dinner will be held on Sunday 25th May at Naya Beach Restaurant in Faliraki, which is about 20 minutes from the hotel – transport will be provided to and from the venue.
The accompanying persons tour, also on Sunday 25th May, will leave at 09:15am and return to the hotel at approximately 4:30pm. The tour will include visits to Filerimos Hill, Kalithea Springs: Historic spa complex with impressive Art Deco architecture, beautiful gardens and fantastic views. A coffee break and lunch in Haraki are also included followed by a visit to Lindos before returning to the hotel.
The post conference lunch on Monday 26th May will be held at the conference hotel and is included in the conference fee for those attending the conference. Lunch will be offered to accompanying persons for an additional cost (details on the attached registration forms) and must be booked in advance. After lunch an optional tour of Rhodes Medieval Town has been organised. Those that wish to attend will leave the hotel at 2:30pm and return to the hotel at approximately 5:30pm. The tour will include a walking tour of the Medieval Town, with a stop at Mandraki Harbour – Rhodes main harbour with the iconic bronze deer statues and a brief stop at Mount Smith, which offers excellent panoramic views of the city.

The conference venue and hotel will be the Sheraton Rhodes Resort Hotel.
Special conference rates have been negotiated – €130 for a single room, €140 for a double room or €195 for a triple room. The Bar European Group has reserved 40 rooms which can be booked on a first come first served basis. To book please follow this link.

The hotel is offering the special rate for two nights either side of the dates booked.
The nearest airport is Rhodes International which is approximately 10km from the hotel.
